Rabbi Berel Zaklikofsky grew up in Oak Park, Michigan, where his father served as a Chabad Rabbi for over thirty years. Rabbi Berel attended the Michigan Jewish Institute for advanced studies, then in 2003 & 2004, went on to the Rabbinical College of Greater Miami. He spent the following year serving the Jewish community of Sydney, Australia, studying at Yeshiva College and serving as a pulpit rabbi in Brisbane, Australia. He received his rabbinic ordination from the Rabbinical College of America in New Jersey. Upon completion of his studies, Rabbi Berel taught Chassidic philosophy and Talmudic studies in the vocational Yeshiva of Ottawa, Ontario. He also served as student intern, providing educational programs, classes, and holiday events for the Jewish communities in the United States, Canada, Holland, England, Lithuania, Australia and New Zealand.

Since 2005, Rabbi Zaklikofsky has served as a volunteer chaplain for the Aleph institute serving Jewish inmates throughout the US prison system. He has also been responsible for creating a social network for the Alumni of the vocational Yeshiva of Ottawa, connecting hundreds of his students from all over the globe. Throughout the years in education he has left a lasting impact on his young peers, most notably demonstrated when he served as a mentor in the vocational Yeshiva in Canada.

Mrs. Chana Zaklikofsky (nee Levertov) was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York where she developed her strong passion for community involvement in the always-open home of her parents. With her exceptional love for children and energetic, upbeat demeanor, Chana worked during high school vacations as a successful leader in camps in England, Holland, Germany, Minnesota, New Mexico, & New York. She graduated with distinction from Associated Beth Rivkah Schools in New York.

Chana’s pleasant personality coupled with her unique talents and people skills has made her a highly sought-after teacher and community program leader throughout the United States. She worked for two years in Maimonides Jewish Day School of Portland, Oregon, followed by teaching for five years in advanced local Jewish schools in New York and New Jersey.

Rabbi Berel and Chana are proud parents of the popular west valley twins, Chaya and Ovadia.
